After signing up for #TEAM36, you can share with your fundraising page with your friends, families, co-workers or whomever you think might be interested in joining you in raising money to support any of the amazing charities we’ve picked to raise money for. All of the charities we’ve chosen to support are working hard every day to break down barriers for deserving kids across North America.

Why should you join the team?

We’ve set out some fundraising goals for you and for each goal that you score you will earn limited addition merchandise and memorabilia from Dave Bolland.

#TEAM36 GOALS TO GET YOU STARTED:

Memorial Goal: $36 Raised
Once your fundraising page hits $36 raised we will send you a personally signed portrait of Dave Bolland and a #TEAM36 button.

Golden Goal: $536 Raised
Hit $536 and we will send you a Dave Bolland signed Blackhawks Practice jersey.

Knight’s Goal: $1,036 Raised:
Raise $1,036 and earn Two tickets to a Blackhawks home game and a limited edition Bolland Foundation stick delivered to your seat during the game.

Hawk’s Goal: $5,036 Raised:
Gather five or your friends or family for a phone call over Skype with Dave Bolland.

What Does The Money Raised Support?

Easter Seals

Sledge Hockey programs offered by North America’s largest disability programs provide young people living with disabilities the opportunity to learn and play the fully accessible sport of Sledge Hockey. Kids from across North America are benefiting from The Dave Bolland’s Foundation support of Sledge Hockey as we work to show that sport is accessible to everyone.

The Remix Project

The Remix Project was created in order to help level the playing field for young people from disadvantaged, marginalized and under served communities. Their programs and services serve youth who are trying to enter into the creative industries or further their formal education; The REMIX Project provides top-notch alternative, creative, educational programs, facilitators and facilities.

Beyond The Ball

Beyond the Ball is an organization that uses the power of sport to change lives, give hope, reclaim space and develop a culture of opportunities for youth and families in Chicago. We develop youth through a number of programs that help change the negative norms present in neighborhoods and replace them with a positive culture.

In February 2012, Blackhawks forward Dave Bolland, alongside his wife Julia, hosted a small gathering in the Screening Room of The Wit Hotel in downtown Chicago to kick off the launch of his new charitable initiative, The Dave Bolland Foundation. Guests were treated to short videos outlining the soon-to-be beneficiaries of the Foundation, all of whom were selected based on their mandate to provide programs to marginalized youth facing barriers to achieving their goals. The generosity of the guests in attendance that evening kick-started what now impacts the lives of hundreds of deserving youth across North America.

Perhaps more impressive than the financial contribution, is that the charitable relationship has paved the way for discussions around bringing The Remix Project to the United States as a means to provide alternative mentorship programs to at-risk youth in some of  Chicago’s more troubled neighborhoods.

In addition to the gains made in support of The Remix Project, beneficiaries of the Foundation continue to include:

• Chicago’s Beyond The Ball; an organization working to reclaim park spaces for families as play spaces in neighborhoods affected by gang-violence.
• Sledge Hockey programs for disabled youth offered by international disability charity Easter Seals in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia and throughout Southern Ontario via Easter Seals’ Camp Woodeden.
• Chicago’s Brotherhood of the Fallen; an organization focused on supporting families of Police offers hurt or killed in the line of duty.
• In partnership with the NHLPA’s Goals & Dreams fund, The Foundation provides equipment to youth to play hockey in same league’s Dave started his youth hockey in Mimico.

All in all, hundreds of youth and their families have been impacted by the work of the Dave Bolland Foundation.

‘I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish in the first year of doing this’ says Bolland. ‘The kids we’re helping, they all come from such different backgrounds, but they all deserve the support – we’re going to keep building this, and help as many kids as we can’.

During the month of November 2012, The Dave Bolland Foundation will be introducing #TEAM36, as a way for you to join Dave in helping youth break down the barriers they face.

Since November of 2010, Dave Bolland Sports has been providing quality rehabilitation care at a full service clinic as well as individual, group and team training for athletes of all ages in Mimico, Ontario.

Born and raised in Mimico, David is committed to his neighbourhood and helping athletes of all levels reach their peak performance and strive to reach their dreams.

The Dave Bolland Foundation alongside Dave Bolland Sports is pleased to introduce the first annual David Bolland Hockey Camp. Happening this summer July 23rd to 26th we are welcoming registrants to participate.
